Privacy Policy
How Glot Rank collects, uses, and stores your data.
Last updated: September 30, 2026
This English translation is provided for convenience. For the governing version, see the Chinese original — in case of any inconsistency, the Chinese version prevails.
This Privacy Policy (the "Policy") explains what information Glot Rank (referred to as "we") collects, uses, stores, and discloses when you use glotrank.com (the "Website") and our hosted services (the "Service"), and the choices you have. Please read this Policy carefully before using the Service; by using the Service you agree to this Policy and to our Terms and Conditions.
Operator information (registered company name and address) is as stated in the website footer. If this Policy conflicts with the footer information, the footer prevails.
1. Information We Collect
1. Account information: the email address, name, and password (stored encrypted) you submit when registering, your organization/team information, and any project details you choose to provide (such as your website domain, target country, and language).
2. Payment information: subscriptions and top-ups are processed by Stripe. We never store your full card number; Stripe processes card numbers, billing addresses, tax IDs, and similar payment information under its own privacy policy.
3. Usage and technical data: access logs, referring pages, browser and device type, and approximate location derived from IP, collected through cookies and similar technologies. We use PostHog for product analytics; in the logged-in Service, PostHog may record session replays to help us diagnose issues — form inputs and sensitive fields are masked before recording.
4. SEO query data: the keyword, rank-tracking, backlink, and site-audit queries you run in the Service, and their results. These queries are performed through DataForSEO's API.
5. Feedback you provide: content submitted via email, support channels, or surveys.
2. How We Use Information
- To provide and maintain the Service: processing queries, rendering reports, billing, and credit deduction;
- Account security: email verification, password resets, unusual sign-in alerts;
- Product improvement: aggregated usage analysis and bug fixes;
- Necessary service communications: billing, credit balance, and service changes (non-marketing emails; marketing emails can be unsubscribed from at any time).
We do not sell your personal information.
3. Data Sharing
We share data only in the following cases:
- DataForSEO: SEO data queries are performed through their API; query content is transmitted and processed under their terms;
- Stripe: payment processing and invoicing;
- Cloudflare: application hosting and CDN;
- Email providers (such as Resend): sending transactional emails such as verification codes and password resets;
- Where required by law or necessary to protect our rights.
Apart from the above, your query content and project data are not disclosed to third parties.
4. Data Retention and Deletion
- Account data and project data are retained while your subscription is active. After you delete your account, we will delete or anonymize your personal data within 90 days, except where retention is required by law;
- You may contact us at any time to export or delete your data: support@glotrank.com.
5. Cookies
The Website uses necessary cookies to keep you signed in and, with your consent, analytics and session-replay cookies. You can manage or clear cookies in your browser, though this may affect some functionality.
6. Minors
The Service is aimed at business users and is not directed at anyone under 18. We do not knowingly collect personal information from minors.
7. Changes to This Policy
We may update this Policy; material changes will be announced in advance by email or in-product notice. Continued use of the Service after an update constitutes acceptance of the revised Policy.
